Lead Umbilical Engineer (Oil & Gas)

About the opportunity

MOBEN&ROOSTER is currently looking for a Lead Umbilical Engineer to join the engineering team of one of our major international clients operating in the Oil & Gas industry.

This position offers the opportunity to work on large-scale subsea developments, contributing to the design, procurement, manufacturing follow-up and offshore installation support of umbilical systems.

Your responsibilities

As Lead Umbilical Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical management of subsea umbilical packages throughout the project lifecycle, including:

• Performing market and technology assessments.

• Supporting FEED and proposal activities.

• Defining technical requirements and evaluating suppliers.

• Reviewing vendor documentation and engineering deliverables.

• Monitoring manufacturing activities and qualification testing.

• Supporting FATs and integration testing.

• Providing engineering support for pre-commissioning and offshore installation.

• Coordinating interfaces between Topside systems and Subsea Production Systems (SPS).

• Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams and project management.

Profile

We are looking for an experienced engineer with:

• Minimum 10 years' experience in subsea umbilical engineering.

• Strong knowledge of:

  • Static and dynamic umbilicals

  • Thermoplastic Umbilicals (TPU)

  • Steel Tube Umbilicals (STU)

  • EFL / HFL technologies

  • Power cables

  • Subsea control and command systems

• Solid understanding of the Oil & Gas industry.

• Professional working proficiency in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with Flexcom (or equivalent) analysis.

• Knowledge of other SURF products, particularly flexible pipes.

Location

• Puteaux, France

• Occasional onshore and offshore missions may be required depending on project needs.

Contract

• 12-month assignment
